Evolving record

We have more environmental data than ever before, and limitless tools to process them. Nevertheless, representation of reality is often limited to what can be seen with a satellite or drone. More complex data, like ecosystem functions and relationshops are often more difficult to visualize or model, so they remain inaccessible to the public, invisible outside technical research.

Through integrating components from vector field analysis with Grasshopper 3D and C# and combining them with hand drawing and fieldwork sketches, this study seeks to uncover new tools and techniques for data visualization of public space. It explores new ways of representing complexity, processes and interrelationships. This tool is an open system that embodies the type of energy found in nature itself – always changing.
